Job Description

We are looking for a Low Voltage Technician I to maintain, repair, and install low voltage equipment and related systems. This position will be full-time contract and onsite with some local travel.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain, repair, and install low voltage equipment such as card access, physical security systems, CCTV cameras, and network video recorders at tolling sites and department facilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain data cabling systems, power and data cable infrastructure

• Use software tools for diagnostics

• Coordinate services across multiple departments

• Complete necessary documentation

What You'll Need

Required:

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and manuals

• Skilled in using volt/amp meters and basic hand tools

• Familiarity with electronic theory and practical applications

• Familiarity with maintenance management systems and CCTV systems

• Familiarity with facilities maintenance

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet and lift up to 50 pounds

• Valid Class E Driver's License

• Overnight travel and on-call availability may be required

Preferred:

• Three years of experience in cabling systems

• Within one year of hire, must obtain Aerial Lift Vehicle Operation Certification and complete a 10-hour OSHA Safety Course

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with the occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
